Privacy Policy & Support · Last updated: September 15, 2026
Welcome to SnapMind. This Privacy Policy explains how Hai Phan ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the SnapMind app on iOS. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Account
None. SnapMind does not require sign-up or login — there is no account, email, or password collected at any point.

Device & Usage
flutter_secure_storage) — this counter is never transmitted anywhereSnapMind has no login and no cloud sync — your screenshots, extracted text, and AI results are stored only in local storage on your device. We do not operate a backend database that holds your screenshots or their contents.
Data sent to OpenAI for analysis travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS). Handling of that data once received is governed by OpenAI's own privacy policy (linked below).
We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
SnapMind does not include any advertising or analytics/tracking SDK.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your screenshots and their contents stay on your device unless you explicitly share them (e.g. using the Share button, or Weekly Summary's share card). We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
Photos — lets SnapMind import screenshots you pick, and detect new screenshots in your Screenshots album (you confirm each import before it's added).
Camera — used only when you choose "Take Photo" to capture a new image directly into SnapMind.
Calendar — optional (Settings toggle, on by default). When enabled, SnapMind writes detected events, flights, or lodging bookings to a calendar on your device. You can deny or revoke this anytime in iOS Settings or the in-app toggle.
Notifications — used for the opt-in Daily Digest and Weekly Summary local reminders, generated entirely on-device.
You can deny or revoke any of these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Because SnapMind stores everything locally and has no account, your data stays only as long as you keep it in the app. You can delete an individual screenshot (swipe to delete) or remove everything at once via Settings → Clear all screenshots. Deleting a screenshot from SnapMind does not delete it from your device's Photos library. Uninstalling the app removes all of SnapMind's local data.
SnapMind is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
Since SnapMind does not hold your screenshots or personal data on a server, you can already access, edit, or delete everything directly in the app (see Section 7). If you have any question about data sent to OpenAI for analysis, or about this policy, contact us using the details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll reflect significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
We typically respond within 1–2 business days.
Do I need to create an account to use SnapMind?
No. SnapMind works fully offline with no login required — everything is stored locally on your device.
How does the AI analyze my screenshots?
When you import a screenshot, SnapMind sends the image to OpenAI's Vision API to extract text, generate a title/summary, and classify it into a category. Analysis only happens for screenshots you explicitly import.
Is there a limit on how many screenshots I can analyze?
The free plan includes a limited number of AI analyses per month. Once you reach the monthly limit, you can still browse, search, and manage screenshots already imported — new AI analysis resumes the following month.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings → Clear all screenshots inside the app to remove everything SnapMind has stored. Deleting a screenshot from SnapMind does not delete it from your device's Photos library.
Why does SnapMind ask for Photos or Calendar permission?
Photos access lets SnapMind detect and import your screenshots. Calendar access (optional, toggle in Settings) lets it automatically add detected events and bookings to your calendar. You can deny or revoke either at any time in iOS Settings.
Email us at haiphan5289@gmail.com with a description of what happened (and a screenshot, if possible) — we read every message.
